The Bubbles

The best. AKA The shit.
Used in the same way one would use "the shit". Remember that including "the" is key to this phrase.
"This restaurant is the bubbles!"
"Man, his house will be the bubbles once it gets fixed up!"

bubbles the chimp

Bubbles is a chimpanzee that gained fame in the mid eighties after being adopted by Michael Jackson. Contrary to popular belief, he did not die, but was sent to a ranch when he became too aggressive.
Bubbles the chimp's personnal style defined an era.

The Foxy Bubbles

When an older man is doing jiu jitsu with a much younger woman, and it becomes strangely sexual.
Doug 1: "So this homeschool girl I was with, we were doing jiu jitsu — and I showed her my 'umbrella of protection,' if you know what I mean."

Doug 2: "WHILE you were doing jiu jitsu? Man, you did the Foxy Bubbles!"

Purple Patch

To describe coming into something good, coming into good luck and or good times.

Like walking over small green hills in the countryside then coming across a purple patch of flowers, thus it being unique and out of the ordinary.
I hit a real purple patch.

The other day this good thing happened unexpectedly then I was lucky with this, it was unique, I hit a real purple patch.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
