burn the boats 

To burn the boats is a metaphor for destroying any safety net you have. To go all in and decide to go after it regardless of the outcome. It originated from the conquering of the Aztecs by Cortez. Once they reached the shore of Mexico Cortez decided to tell his men to burn the boats. Meaning they would either die or conquer the land.

Tim: “ man I can’t leave this job, I’ll be homeless. I hate what I’m doing but I can’t quit and find something better. It’s too risky.”

Off the BOLT 

1) When somebody’s going insane… their bolts have come loose
2)Same as off the chain but white people don’t have to say it sarcastically anymore like they're making fun of saying off the chain (but in reality they use the word all the time!)
3)A bolt will come off when its not screwed on tight enough- therefore “off the bolt” can imply baggy vaginal labial or rectum.

Ride the bolt 

To put a rifle (usually from behind) in between an unsuspecting victims legs (usually a guy) have a buddy or a group of buddies grab the other end and proceed to yank said rifle plus victim up and down so as to ruin victims junk.
