Steve Law

The Steve law refers to the by-laws implemented upon commencing a relationship with the opposite or same sex. The law states:

Section 1.1:
Being a dick to a partner actually makes them want you that much more.

Section 1.2:
Ignoring a partner will result in them calling/communicating more often for fear of loss.

**Caution: Implementation of the aforementioned articles can lead to loss of the partner if abused or used to frequently. For example, you want to ignore the partner just enough so they think you're busy and cool, but not too much to make them think you're uninterested.
Steve: Hey I'm Steve!
Random Girl: Hey, maybe you should call me tonight?
*Use of the Steve Law*
Steve: naw, I'm busy, but next week I can.

Melissa: Omg girlfriends! Lemme tell you about this guy, Steve, he's soooo cool but I havn't talked to him in like forever!
Victoria: shut the front door! Go call him girl! You don't want that piece of meat getting away!

Steve's Law

Any debate of any minority in the public eye, will eventually lead to the person with an opposing opinion being labeled as anti-minority (e.g. racist, feminist) by the person that can't backup their opinion outside of feelings.
Me: You know, I really don't like the affordable care act, I'd prefer to have an actual choice in my health care.
You: But the affordable care act provides healthcare to millions of people.
Me: Well, most of those were people already enrolled in medicare programs. Do you know how many people have lost health care or have had increased premiums as a result of Affordable Care laws?
You: You're just a racist.
Me: You've invoked Steve's Law and have forfeited the argument.

Steve Jobs Law

The belief that companies, especially technology companies, know what the customer wants before the customer does. This was pioneered by Steve Jobs when he was CEO of Apple. His famous quote was, “Some people say, Give the customers what they want." But that's not my approach. Our job is to figure out what they're going to want before they do. I think Henry Ford once said, "If I'd asked customers what they wanted, they would have told me, 'A faster horse!'" People don't know what they want until you show it to them. That's why I never rely on market research. Our task is to read things that are not yet on the page.“

This law was used to launch products that consumers had never thought of such as iTunes and iPhone and they worked spectacularly because consumers actually enjoyed the products and it simplified their media and daily life for a time.

Today, Steve Jobs Law is a smokescreen by big tech to ram new products and services down our throats without any input by customers and they expect us to immediately adapt the new products/upgrades/services without complaint, use it in our daily lives, and expect us to pay for the privilege. The Steve Jobs Law has now morphed into a totalitarian force within technology where forced adaptation is not only expected, it should be celebrated, and any attempt at customization by consumers that was celebrated previously must be stamped out immediately.
Did I ever ask for this A.I. upgrade on my Microsoft Office? I don’t need this on my spreadsheet or my PowerPoint! I know how to build it to my specifications. But due to the Steve Jobs Law, I, the customer, don’t know anything about technology and how I can use it to my benefit. I am told what is good for me, I am expected to upgrade to it, and I am expected to pay for it!

Steven's Law

When a piece of media (most often a show) is objectively badly written, it will garner fans anyway due to mental health awareness and/or LGBTQ representation. Some examples include 13 Reasons Why, Glee Club, and the namesake of this law, Steven Universe. It may also very well be the case that the media has some redeeming qualities, such as good character moments, or good visual composition, however these qualities are a vast minority compared to the objectively bad narratives within the show.
Person A: "I like insert media because it has gays in it!"

Person B: "Is it really good, or are you following Steven's Law?"

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
