When you get called out for committing a crime, and in response, proclaim that you're gay.

It comes from when Kevin Spacey was accused by Anthony Rapp of trying to molest him when he was 14, and Kevin Spacey responded by saying he's gay.

The Spacey Defense:

Everyone: Did you molest that 14 year old boy?
Kevin Spacey: I'm gay

When you get called on doing something illegal or deplorable and come out as gay to deflect blame.

I hear that crazy guy that killed a bunch of people used the Kevin Spacey defense. What a hero.
