sigmar 

A phrase often used in Iceland describing a man who fights a lot when he has consumed alcoholic beverages. This person is however not a good fighter and picks fights with almost anyone he sees when drunk, which he loses.

I ran into such a sigmar at the club the other night, I had to beat him five times to make him stop attacking me.

A Sigmar is a man who can seduce any woman with a bachata dance or a joke- or both at the same time. He’s a player but respectful with all his babies’ mothers. Legend has it he can impregnate a woman with a wicked smile.

One who possesses a disproportionate disdain for single bonds. Known colloquially as "pi snobs," these individuals are predisposed to looking down on saturated molecules.

Freddy said he wouldn't go near that 3-methyl octane, but he can't keep his hands off my heptadiene. Man what a sigma hater!

Six Sigma Facebook Stalking simply means a measure of Facebook stalking quality that strives for near perfection. A Six Sigma Facebook Stalker is one who will find 99.99966% of the individuals they seek on Facebook (3.4 failures per million individuals sought) and are statistically expected to be able to find any existing Facebook account.

sigma male 

A more internally-focused sibling to the alpha male. While the alpha male quantifies himself on his high position in the social hierarchy, a sigma male prefers to forego the social hierarchy and need for external validation altogether and pursue internal strength instead. Essentially a "loner" or a stray man, although sigma males may have a close circle of friends and loved ones with whom they share a deep connection. The sigma male is not socially inept but simply socially disinterested. Prefers solitary activities where he doesn't have to play social politics and can simply focus on himself. The sigma male accepts that he does not need power over others as the alpha male desires, but rather needs only power to control himself and preserve his own autonomy from others. Sigma males are often pragmatic but may be seen by others as aloof, paranoid, secretive or selfish.

Not to be confused with simply being an unlikeable asshole, edgelord, or misfit.

John: Hey, who's that over there on a table by himself?
Mary: Oh, that's Patrick. He's a bit of a sigma male.

A masterpiece written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published by his son Christopher Tolkien, less known than The Lord of the Rings. It tells you how the Middle-earth was created and expands the knowledge of the events that took place in the First and Second Age.

If you have seen or read The Lord of the Rings and you haven´t read The Silmarillion.... you don't know anything about the Middle-earth.
