A perpetually unlucky person. A person who's often a victim of something bad. From Yiddish.
A "schlemiel" is the guy most likely to spill the wine at dinner.
A "schlemazel" is the guy most likely to have the wine spilled on him.
And the "nudnick" is the guy most likely to ask (in a nasal voice), "Gee, what kind of wine was that anyhow?"

Someone who doesn’t have good luck, but causes everyone around him to have bad luck.

That person who never does anything cool, and doesn’t even seem particularly good at anything, but is popular and has all the luck.

If you tried to describe them to people they are usually overly confident and a little annoying. Maybe has a nice hair cut or is considered classically handsome, but not truly beautiful or very handsome .
