Regarding dietary habit, a combination of pollotarian (one who eats poultry and no other meat) and pescetarian (one who eats seafood and no other meat) for describing one with a relatively simple restriction, usually based on ethical value, religious faith, or personal taste -- one who does not eat red meat, but only "white" meat and animal by-products; basically, one who does not eat mammals.

Pescetarian diet is very similar to the famous Okinawa and Mediterranean diet. Studies have also proved the significant role long-chain omega3 acid has in simulating brain cells resulting in better analytical thinking and response. Medical research has acknowledged the role of long-chain omega3 in prevention and fighting of cancerous cells.

Pescetarians are saving fish from that fate, as well as getting a good source of healthy calories, protein, zinc, omega 3 fatty acids, thiamin, vitamins B6 and B12, riboflavin, selenium, and other essentials the human body needs to stay alive and fit.

Because these people do choose to include meat in their diet (seafood is muscle tissue from a live animal and therefore meat), they are not vegetarian as vegetarians do not consume meat.
