A conjugation of the words neck and shoulders. Used to describe a person who has done so many shrugs in the weight room that his neck is indistinguishable from his shoulders. Similar in concept to cankles, however, more often associated with guys who work out too much versus over weight women.
"Hey buddy, take it easy on the shrugs or you'll get a mean set of nolders."
Bryan: "What the hell is wrong with that guy?"
Jamie: "He did too many shrugs and developed a nice set of nolders."
Bryan: "How the hell does he drive, or breathe for that matter?"
Jamie: "I don't know."
Bryan: "God help him."
A pitifully slow cyclist commuting in London. Usually seen decked out in a uselesshigh-vis Altura Night vision jacket with matching fluro hump backpack cover. Often seen woefully weak lights that are reminiscent of a sickly glow worm, but its quite common for them to have none at all. They will clog up the roads in the every summer leading to the so called 'Noddergeddon'. They will barge in front of you at the lights only to set off like wobbly slow grandma forcing you to drop them instantaneously, at the next set of light they'll do the exact same thing again causing incredulous cry of frustration to be emitted by every other cyclist around them.
The term its self comes from their habit of nodding their heads up and down whilst they struggling along in the wrong gear often with a bike that's totally the wrong size for them. It was coined by a user of London's famous LFGSS cycling community.
"Jesus Christ the roads are clogged with nodders today, I didn't realize that Noddergeddon had started already!"
A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing peecalculus.
