Nānā (Nay-nay) is a term in Mario Kart. Nānā is short for banana for which there are many in the popular game played on the Nintendo 64 system. They can be thrown or put down while driving one of several Mario Kart characters. If you aren't careful, running over a nānā will cause a disasterious spin-out. They can also help you win the race if you place your nānā in a strategic position.
