If you swing enough times, some hits are bound to be good.

Also, an alternate name for baseball in general, due to the aforementioned bullshit being prevalence in the sport.

When you quit a job, task, or team abruptly because you are just mentally checked out and unable to deal with it another moment longer. Typically out of nowhere and with little to no notice.

In reference to Andrew Luck retiring abruptly from the NFL at the age of 29.
