Lord Voldemort

Primary villain in J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series.

Born Tom Marvolo Riddle, named for father and maternal grandfather. Originally an attractive, charming person with the ability to hide his evil intent, but later becomes rather more conspicuous.

Constantly attempting to track down Harry and finish killing him, having failed and been temporarily disembodied by the attempt when Harry was a baby.

Pale skin, red eyes, slitted notrils, high, cold voice. Skinny, with long fingers. May or may not wear underwear under those robes, as none has ever been mentioned when Wormtail was dressing him, or in the movie where he conjured up his robes. Oh, and he has really delicate-looking feet- barefoot tapping of Cedric's face reveals this fact. The hands are almost girlish, too. ;)

Uses Dark Magic, has a lot of devoted followers named Death Eaters. Has experimented with various evil powers, and is determined to gain immortality. Has split his soul, hence the freakish inhuman(but badass) looks. Speaks Parseltongue(snake language).

Utterly ruthless, incapable of love. Not the sort you want to meet in a dark alley, unless you're holding a deathwish/are his fangirl/fanboy.

Disturbingly large fanbase, including those wishing to *ahem*speak to his snake. :p
Read. The. Books.

Lord Voldemort, circa resurrection in movie: *hyper*
Y'know, being restored to semi-human form seems to have done wonders for his energy level. ;)

Bellatrix: OMG my lord I lub you!!!
Lord Voldemort: Greeeeeaaaatttt....

Deluded fangirl: He's misunderstood...*sniff*

More aware fangirl: Sure, he's evil...but that is SO cool.

Lord Voldemort

Lord Voldemort is the notorious Dark wizard of the magical world. Born "Tom Marvolo Riddle", his fascination with the Dark Arts during his schooling at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, led to his quest for immortality.

Voldemort has chosen Horcruxes as his path to immortaily. He is believed to be the only wizard to have created more than one Horcrux, leaving his soul incredibly fragile and unbalanced. His Horcruxes reside in his Diary, the Gaunt ring, Locket of Slytherin, Hufflepuff's cup, Ravenclaw's diadem, his pet snake Nagini, and most incredible of all, and by accident, inside Harry Potter, the boy whom he failed to kill in his desperation to remove obstacles in his path to domination over the wizarding world.

After his downfall in 1981, which we all know was when the Killing curse he cast failed to kill the victim, Harry Potter, and rebounded on Voldemort himself, not much was seen or heard of Voldermort for 13 years, until 1994, where he made his now famous return to power.

In 1997, during the Battle of Hogwarts, Voldemort was killed by Harry Potter in a duel sure to be remembered for the rest of time. His legacy is of death and destruction, as he destroyed the lives of so many.

Voldemort's followers were known as Death eaters and were each branded with a tatto depicting a snake emerging from the mouth of a skull.

Voldemort is also known as You-Know-Who, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and the Dark Lord.
He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did terrible things. Terrible, yes, but great.

Lord Voldemort

The arch-villian in the Harry Potter series. He was born Tom Marvolo Riddle to Merope Gaunt, a cross-eyed descendent of Salazar Slytherin and Tom Riddle Senior, a handsome, rich and cocky muggle.

Already calculating and shrewd as a boy, he grew to be one of the most feared dark wizards of all time.

His main aim, presumably, is to achieve immortality, rid the world of muggles and take over the wizarding world.

Is often called 'Voldy' by fans.

No Surprises Wedding

A "No Surprises Wedding," or NSW, is a wedding invitation designation that tells attendees that there can be no unplanned announcements, engagements, events or speeches at the wedding - all actions must be pre-approved by the couple. Anyone who performs an unapproved "surprise" will be asked to leave the wedding early.

This designation comes from Reddit, where so many stories of bad wedding behavior indicated a need to communicate expectations for the wedding behavior of attendees.
You are cordially invited to the nuptials of Brian and Tom on October 31 at noon.

Please note that this wedding is child-free (under 10) and a No Surprises Wedding (NSW). Reach out to wedding planner Sami Smith to request approvals or exceptions; please note that exceptions will be rare. Limited child care for under-10s will be available. All approvals will be noted and included in planning. Unapproved, or surprise exceptions, will result in guests being asked to leave.

EBK stands for "Elite Ball Knowledge." 1 In internet slang, "ball knowledge" originally referred to a deep understanding of football/soccer or basketball, but it has evolved into a broader term for having a highly sophisticated, deep, or niche understanding of any specific topic (such as music, movies, or subcultures).
Person A: "That scene was a direct homage to an unreleased 1982 Japanese indie film."
Person B: "Wow, EBK."

Texas is categorized as a swing state in presidential elections, but has voted for Republicans more times than for Democrats in recent history. As such, as demographics change political alignments, some Democrats believe that Texas will vote blue, or Democratic, due to their Hispanic and African American voters, who often align themselves with the Democratic Party's liberal wing.

Blexas has been cited as possible in the upcoming decades, but only if Democrats continue to win the Hispanic vote in bigger margins.
Democrat 1: What is your prediction for the 2024 presidential election?
Democrat 2: Well uh, Blexas!
Democrat 1: You've been saying that since 2008 though.

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.
Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.
