The term originated with the sacking of journalist Antoinette Lattouf (she/her) by her employer, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). This came after the ABC was pressured by Zionists to sack Lattouf for writing an article that questioned the authenticity of a video posted by those Zionists (specifically the Australian Jewish Association) that purported to show a crowd of pro-Palestine protesters chanting "gas the Jews". This raised suspicions that those Zionists has fabricated evidence.
