Joliette

Joliette is a small city 45 mins north-east of Montreal. It is a commercial and industrial place (there's a Bridgestone plant) surrounded with agricultural area.

Joliette people are mostly locals, working in the surroundings. The first days of every months are opulent ones, since the wealthcare checks bring money to the very visible unemployeds. Among these, a lot of Native from the Reserve of Manawan who now decided to live in « the big city ». An interesting sight is at the Wal Mart wich is sometimes filled with those Natives who seem to love to shop there and eat a nice meal at the McDonald. You can't miss them with their pick up trucks.

When I want to reconnect with my Native origins, I like to take a walk through the Joliette Wal Mart and see my ancestors there

"Joliet" Jake Blues

Jake Blues, the elder of the two Blues Brothers, was imprisioned for five years, for holding up a gas station to cover the band's room service tab in a gig in Tijuana. He was released on parole after three years, for good behaviour, and was picked up by his brother, Elwood. After a fully religious experience, he decided to put the band back together, to raise money, and to pay the taxes on the orphanage in which he and Elwood grew up. He was played by John Belushi, who died before Blues brothers 2000 came out.

ghetto ass place where drug deals happen in the bathrooms or at the common forestry down the street. teachers butt fuck students on the daily. the milk is strait up cum. and health teachers us students as real life examples for sexual education. you'll be lucky to survive these four years without walking down the hallway smelling like fish and period blood or strait up weed. in actuality just the people suck it's not a bad school i'm over exaggerating :)

Joliet, Illinois

Chicago Jr. Less than an hour drive from the big city itself. Very racially diverse. Everyone assumes everyone is racist, but few people actually are. Everyone is a sarcastic comedian. F bombs everyone and no one cares. Truly a IDGAF kinda place.

joliet hotwire

A 2 part move. First insert thumb and forefinger in the "stink" and twist back and forth (as you would start the ignition to a car) while performing the shocker with the other hand using 3 fingers of your choice in the "pink" and making a zzzz noise- similar to the way one would hotwire a car.

Joliet

Based on a closed correctional facility in Joliet, IL, it generally refers to being in a maximum security prison. This word was made famous by John Belushi, Joliet Jake, in the movie "The Blues Brothers". Also the term has be used in, "The Whole Ten Yards".
