A person (typically a commoner) that becomes famous via the internet usually through a video sharing site like youtube.com or a social network like myspace.com.

The Star Wars kid became an interlebrity after the spread of his sad, yet comical video.

an Internet celebrity.
aka
a single person or a group who, via internet (most commonly through youtube), through the production of entertainment, have single handedly gained celebrity status or a large following/fan base.

these range from vloggers, to musicians, to actors, to artists, to comedians, to movie editors, film students, to kids in their basement, to singers, to dancers, to puppeteers, to authors, to news broadcasters, etcetc the list goes on and on and is perpetually growing larger and larger as people pass their favorites around and new talent rises in the eyes of the viewers.

Interwebrity 

Someone who is famous simply for being on the net.
Interwebrity's typically blog, use DeviantArt and MySpace.
A classic example is Tom from MySpace and kids who lip sync to songs on YouTube.

Guy1: Why are you still friends with 'Tom'?
Guy2: He's an interwebrity, man. Gotta keep my cred.
