Small mountain town located in Southern California between Palm Springs, Banning, Hemet, and Temecula.

Known for tourists who think their Toyota prius will make it up the mountain in the snow with no cables or chains.

Highways 243 and 74 are the routes to the town. *if they have not washed out again or blocked by an accident*
Many restaurants, but you won't see many locals at them because they're for tourists.

The closest grocery store is off the mountain because ampm has more stock than the local market.

Local townies keep things interesting at inspiration point.
Who is that?
He must be from Idyllwild.

Get the Idyllwild mug.
An arts boarding school in Riverside County, California.

There's glaring issues everywhere from funding to how the school handles wider-scale issues like sexual harassment and child labor violations. Despite it being a campus with some lovely people, most of the students attending are artists, and therefore, incredibly dramatic. If you are looking into studying at an arts boarding school, please consider Idyllwild as your last option. The dorm rooms are constantly in a state of disrepair, the faculty ignore any glaring issues if it'll get them in legal trouble, and the tuition you pay even with scholarships or financial aid is absolutely not worth the quality of life you receive here.

The campus is very pretty in the winter, though. But there's mold in some dorm rooms.
A: I just finished applying to Idyllwild Arts as a film major.
B: Dude, you should absolutely change your major if you're going to study there.
