A traditionally German name, which is very popular in Hamburg. Pronounced Heap - Ka, it means 'Large Ditch' in the original german dialect, used from it's creation to 1408. The most famous Heepke was named Heepka Sandross, a worker woman in the german worker's rights movement in 1873, and posed an assassination attempt on Wilhelm I in his yearly procession through Munich.
