Detective Mark Hoffman

A key character in the Saw franchise whom Jigsaw, aka John Kramer, appoints to carry on his work of "testing" people to see if they are worthy of life. He is brilliantly played by Costas Mandylor, whom many consider a rather underrated actor. Hoffman has a very cold personality, yet most don't see this when he portrays himself as a hard-working police officer, but behind that mask lies a killer hell bent on vengeance and filled with anger over the loss of his sister. Appears in Saw IV - VII.

Detective Mark Hoffman at the end of Saw V. His brutality is shown as he smiles while watching an FBI agent die one of the most gruesome deaths of all the Saw movies.

Means an employee that self promotes themselves to be so above the other that they will complain about every single little thing about their fellow colleagues doings that eventually nobody really cares what this person has to say, they might find themselves hoffströmming.

Mark Hoffman

A main character from the Saw movie series who beat the odds by sheer force of will, determination and above all a ridiculous amount of win by surviving jigsaws final trap to kill him thus negating the cycle.

From then on whenever the odds are beaten by sheer force and a good amount of win Mark Hoffman must be declared. He negates any chance of failure if done quick enough.

Guy 1: You just Lost the Game
Guy 2: Nope Mark Hoffman!
Guy 1: SHIT! >.<

That guy at the party who always gets to drunk. He is meticulous about his looks, but it's futile since he's not getting laid anyway. He will literally hit on a girl indiscriminately in front their boyfriend.
