I’m allergic to glib.

I’m allergic to glib. — a glib response inspired by the style of the playwright Bertoldt Brecht that foregrounds the apparatus of glibness used as a counter offensive weapon.

This is a 21st century technique derived from the of 20th century insult of introducing a landline interlocutor to your friend “click” and hanging up a phone rapidly terminating a conversation.

Because of the way we now communicate, “snark” is the “word play of choice”. And many people have become “keyboard commandos and combatants”.

Often a dismissive rejoinder is required to reply in as few characters as possible based on 21st century attention spans and mediums of choice like text or Twitter and Facebook.

“I’m allergic to glib” is a wonderful way to terminate an electronic conversation while simultaneously dismissing the “snark-er”.

Like most comebacks, ultimately, this will become overused (see speak to the hand); so, use it while it lasts.

The good news is that if one uses and studies the writings of Bertoldt Brecht ; then, the only limit to creatively generating Brecht-ian conversation rejoinders is individual creativity and wit.

I actually read hard copy books and stay away from electronic platforms like Facebook and Twitter because I’m allergic to glib.

Globox 

Globox is a creature that resembles an amphibian, and is blue (though according to the game Rayman Origins he was previously red). He is a Glute (a species of his kind) and has a wife (Uglette) as well as more than 650 children. He was created by Polokus ( the Bubble Dreamer) who is the creator of their world: the Glade of Dreams.
In the Rayman series, he is portrayed as Rayman's best friend, who he extremely loves, and helps him whenever he is in need of it.
His appearance is fat and blue (as said above) with a pale belly (as well as pale coloured hands) and eyes at the top of his head.
In terms of character he is adorable, helpful, quite dim, friendly and shy. He is also a coward and runs away when he finds himself in the presence of enemies such as Robo-Pirates and Hoodlums, but is very confident under the influence of Plum Juice (which he is ironically allergic to).
Despite not being 'magical', Globox has other astounding abilities. He can conjure a rainstorm out of nothing, as well as slap anyone with an amazing strength and squash anything (and anyone) under all his weight. He can also glide in the air thanks to his massive belly, store objects such as Lums in himself, as well as swim up great heights.
Despite him being fat, he can evidently run as quickly as other characters in the Rayman series.
Globox is a playable character in Rayman M and Rayman Origins

In Rayman 2, Globox stores silver lums from a fairy called Ly which he gives to Rayman in order to enhance his powers. He also helps Rayman escape from certain places (such as the Canopy) by making rainstorms that extinguish fires and grow plants for him to use as disguises.

In Rayman 3, under the influence of plum juice, Globox takes Rayman on his back and swims up a piranha-filled waterfall .

In Rayman M/Arena and Rayman Origins, Globox can hover and glide when jumping off something.

Globohomo

(noun, can also be used as an adjective) A portmanteau of the words "global" (or "globalist") and "homosexual." Used to sarcastically denote the predominant philosophy espoused by the Western economic elite, formally known as "neoliberalism". It combines ruthless capitalism by transnational corporations with a façade of socially-liberal politics.

The ultimate end state of Globohomo is one in which all sexual, ethnic, racial and national identity is broken down, leaving the demoralized masses to work for $12 an hour in an Amazon warehouse while a small cadre of billionaires rule over them. A poignant vision of Globohomo can be found in Aldous Huxley's 1932 novel, "Brave New World".

While often used by the alt-right, the term is not exclusively conservative in nature, nor is it necessarily anti-homosexual. In fact, considering that Marxism was created in response to working class exploitation, a CEO championing leftist talking points while making 200 times the salary of their employees should be noted as an extreme case of irony.
