Ganking Zone
A location in a jail where an inmate is easily jumped or killed by fellow inmates or guards without being noticed.
The warden's snitch got killed in the gankin zone and there were no whitnesses.

ganning
The technique of playing video games. Specifically, the involvement of avoiding conflict in multiplayer melee games, letting the other players fight and lose lives. Taking cheapshots, attacking players only when they already have a large amount of damage and claiming large victories from all of the kills obtained.

press-ganging
v. The act of forced conscription into the British navy. Used most commonly in the 19th century, as a means of crewing warships. Also known as "impressment", it was a royally sanctioned activity that started with King Edward I.
Since most men were reluctant to join the navy due to low pay and the requirement of lifetime service, groups of 'press-gangs' would go around pubs on the coast of Britain, kidnapping men and forcing them into lifetime service. Anyone found in possession of the "King's shilling" was thought to be a loyal subject, and thus a candidate for the royal navy.
The press-gangs would travel to various pubs, and drop shillings into the beer mugs of hapless victims. When the victim got to the bottom of their beer, they would find the king's shilling, and the press-gang waiting for them outside to drag them off. Fancier pubs invented the glass bottomed beer mug so that their patrons could see if there was a king's shilling in the bottom, and refuse the drink.
Press-ganging was one of the factors leading to the war of 1812. Press gangs would land on the coast of America and would "accidentally" press-gang American civilians into navy service. Over 6000 American men were kidnapped in this manner in the early 1800s.

Poor John Miller, he didn't come home - was probably a victim of press-ganging. I told him not to hang around the harbour!

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

Pee Calculus
When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
