Gamespunk

A YouTube genre originating from the UK that began in 2023. Being pioneered by YouTuber's such as Flyingtoyota and redlight, the genre is characterised by uniquely comical, often times cynical commentary played over sped up footage of a game. The videos are usually centred around that game in question, and YouTuber's like Flyingtoyota have used the genre to create their own story overtop of the game. Videos in this genre tend to make references to British culture (mostly negative comments) for comedic effect. The editing can at times be unpolished, this being another characteristic. Creators like WayVegas have begun to merge the genre with others, like a traditional video essay.

GameSkank

A GameSkank is someone who plays computer games for long periods of time, with total disregard for anything else happening around them or in their lives. They tend to have obsessive personalities and will (with the right game) stay up to the most ungodly of hours, power gaming until they fall asleep from exhaustion.

n. a conversation, or part of a conversation, between a male and female who are attracted to one another. When using gamespeak, literal meanings are not important as one must "read between the lines" as to what the male or female means to say.

I'm not going to hook up with you, I just met you" in gamespeak means "if we hook up now, I'm afraid you'll think I'm a whore." A good response would be "no worries girl, just relax and everything will work itself out."

Conversation/chatter which is only relevant to a game two or more people are playing together, especially when in a group setting that is not themed around the game or gaming in general.

This was the third time Susan had to remind the Thompson brothers not to gamespeak during conference calls with the CEO.
