Dudesplaining

Dudesplaining is when men explain something like a Dude. It’s like Mansplaining but instead of being dumbed down, it’s more of using commonly known examples to explain something. This can be very helpful for those who need things to be rephrased in another way.
Yeah, he pretty much did some Dudesplaining and I understand it way better now.

Seamus PatrickBarrett - oh sorry didn't mean to bust you out for you d--- riding using profanity. I guess wise master typo hunters don't use the naughty words. I can't never be so good at words as you.😣 again, thank you for your magnificent whitesplaining.

Justin Von Striver - I'm going to coin the term #dumbsplaining in your honor, Seamus.

Dadsplaining

When a father answers his child's question, no matter how simple, with undesired and tangentially relevant information and life advise.
I asked my dad where the spare tire was and he must have gone on for half an hour dadsplaining how to change it. I'll be damned if that information didn't come in handy a couple months later.

Dadsplaining

Any sentence spoken by a dad to persons younger than himself that begins with, "When I was your age," or, "I'll tell you why that is," or, "If you were smart, here's what you'd do..."
My dad says that when he was my age, phones had cords on them and there was a thing called "long distance." He's been Dadsplaining the old days at me all morning.
