Diversity pimp

Like the poverty pimps who pimped the poor for their own enrichment through bogus social programs, diversity pimps are high priced consultants who make money from foundations and governnment for conducting pointless "diversity audits" or research on diversity, presenting "diversity training" . . . using up any money that might actually have gone towards helping communities of color or other identified populations.
An example of a diversity pimp is a consultant who conducts "diversity audits" for companies, foundations or universities, or a diversity consultant who facilitates "diversity conversations" or does diversity training.

Diversity hire

In a corporation, this is a person who was hired solely because of the color of their skin, or their sexual identity, as opposed to their actual skills or contributions to the company. This person is usually employed for reasons including company PR or lower government taxation.
Jerry: "Which one of us was the useless simpleton who organized all these files incorrectly?"
Harry: "It was Terry, the diversity hire."
Jerry: "If we screwed up as much as he does, we'd be fired."
Harry: "Sadly, Terry is a homosexual black man, so HR won't touch him."

Diversity hire

Have ever looked around your company and noticed how many team leaders and lower management tick diversity boxes? These people are diversity hires. All big corporations have quoters for diversity they need to meet and by hiring and promoting people who tick the right boxes the HR team can feel they are fighting for social justice
My new ream leader is a diversity hire. Totally useless but the company will cover for him as he's black and gay

diversity

Anyone other than a white guy.
Person 1: The dean says our campus needs diversity.
Person 2: Oh, you mean less white males?

Diversity Washing

A term used to describe the process of including diversity for the sake of pushing diverse agenda, or where it does not fit. This is very similar to white washing, but usually does the opposite. It most commonly applies to film adaptations of books, who race or gender swap characters to ensure the film cast is diverse, in places where the book or story characters were not. It also applied to historical adaptations in which a character (usually white) from history is portrayed as being some other race than they actually where historically. Can apply to film, video game, comic book, plays, books or any other form of media.
Portraying Achilles as a black man, instead of Mediterranean, is just film makers diversity washing Homer's Greek classic The Iliad...

Diversity hire

Most middle management in alot of industries have to tick at least one diversity box to be allowed to be promoted however a diversity hire was taken on purely to tick boxes and usually more than one. Example black, transgender lesbian head if HR equality department.
Why would someone so stupid be given a management position when there was lots of better candidates?
The company needed to reduce the gender pay gap so had to do a diversity hire.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
