A term used by Philip Schneider, to describe what happened to his foot when an Alien shot him with it's energy beam

firefighter paramedic slang for patients burned beyond recognition. Fourth and fifth degree burns, muscle and bone burning. Last stage before sixth degree burns, cremation (all tissue reduced to ash).

By the time we got there, the people trapped in the vehicle were crispy critters.
