The awkward yet awesome phase between friendship and dating when you are making out and staying over at each others places, but aren't really exclusive. Sometimes includes overly jealous ex-boyfriends, and the very inconvenient lack of condoms.

Bob: "Hey, I heard Janet and Rick are having regular casual sex, is that true?"

Jane: "Nah, i think they actually like each other, but are too awkward to actually ask each other out. They might just be chloviding."
