Barmpot

Old fashioned word used in the north of England to describe a person who is mischievous or clowning around. Often proceeded with an adjective; silly/daft

Stop running in the house, you're gonna break summat ya silly barmpot

Young boy: "Were you there at Jesus's crucifixion Nan?"
Old woman: "Don't be daft you cheeky barmpot"

Balmpot

A well used Scottish word (normally used in Glasgow) to describe a headcase, or a person slightly unstable usually through drink.

Och no hen, I'm no gonnae be oot drinking with that wee balmpot Stevie the neet.

bampot

A Scottish term meaning 'hooligan' or 'trouble-maker'.

Other descriptions here mention 'stupid person' or 'clumsy idiot'. I wouldn't use bampot in either of those senses but, instead, go for 'fanny' and 'pleb' respectively.

Mind yersel aroond him, he's a pure bampot.
