When the school's band goes to a place, especially one far away, to play in a festival. To get there, they ride on a band bus and while on the bus and the trip, very very many strange/fun/amusing things occur. Non-band geeks usually get very jealous of band geeks when this trip takes place. Everyone wishes that they played in the school band.

Band Trip 

When a school band goes on an overnight trip to some music thing (preferably in Canada where the drinking age is 18). The goal of this trip is to find out what it feels like to be more krunk than you can ever possibly get.

Dude 1: "Dude, I can't wait for the band trip."
Dude 2: "Dude, the band trip is already over, don't you remember anything at all?"

A band-trip boyfriend is acquired in the following manner: a single band geek sits beside another single band geek on the band bus over the duration of a band trip (especially a long one). Close quarters and raging hormones result in a couple, especially in middle-school scenarios where "having-a-boyfriend" is considered an essential mark of status. Because of sheer desperation on the part of some band geeks, it's nearly inevitable.

Band Trip Boyfriend 

A boy in band that is your boyfriend only during the band trip. He asks you out on the bus there, and breaks up with you on the way back. There are never any hard feelings, because you only said yes because you were desperate.

Annie: "What? Jake broke up with you? But you two made such a cute couple!"

Dana: "Whatever, he was just a band trip boyfriend. It's not that big of a deal."

Montreal Band Trips 

A period of time where a group of 4 boys with the rest of a band get to go completely crazy and loose all respect for authority etc. These 4 men can be found either buying smokes and beer, puking in bathtubs, trashing hotel rooms etc.
