arglebargle

To Argue so vehemently against an issue that you end up arguing for an issue. See for example the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon where the "wascally wabbit" engages Daffy Duck in the "is to, is not" argument. In this argument, Bugs strategically switches sides leading the opposition, Daffy, to also switch sides in favor of Bugs' original position.
Usage adjective: It was an arglebargle argument. Verb: He arglebargled the argument when he lost.
