Darth Real Life (usually shortened to DRL) is a term most often used in the Star Wars fandom.

In a homage to the title of a Sith Lord (Darth), this term is used to describe real life events that has kept an author or other member away from fandom.

"I'm sorry I haven't reviewed the last two chapters, but DRL is wreaking havoc at home."

"Darth Real Life is currently doing his best to keep me away from fandom this month..."

To have an idgaf attitude about what people think about your actions and/or who you are. Being able to say fuck everyone with out...really giving a fuck. Being able to be your own individual and not be afraid to stand out. Admitting your flaws as well as you confidence.
