The Grammar Nazi

A person (usually on a forum/newsgroup/chat room) who makes a habit of constantly correcting others' grammatical mistakes, often to the point of annoyance.

Lay off, already! The last thing we need is another fucking grammar nazi!

Someone who believes it's their duty to attempt to correct any grammar and/or spelling mistakes they observe. Usually found hanging around Irc chatrooms hounding "n00bs".

Well at least you can spell dyslexic correctly.

bandwidth nazi

A person in the IT department that doesn't allow anyone onto the network for any reason (whether good or bad). Spends weeks on end getting his proxy server up so he can feel like a real IT department is under his fingertips. Also know to have packet sniffing software running 24/7 on his network to identify potential "spies" or "HaxOr$".
Often times this power trip is due to the fact that he/she has a small business penis and needs to grow into their role.

"We had some guests coming to our office and i had to tell them that our network was down for the day so they wouldn't ask to use our network to check email. Thanks Bandwith Nazi!"

Helmet Nazi

Person or group who neurotically harrasses you to wear a helmet on your bike, even though riding in a car, carrying laundry down stairs, or just walking across a street statistically causes more serious or fatal head injuries every year.

God, that Helmet Nazi Kathy was practically foaming at the mouth when I told her I didn't need headgear!

A person who contantly provides their opinions on dieting, exercise, and weight loss in an arrogant and pushy manner. They constantly criticize and suppress' others opinions, no matter how factual they may be.

lawn nazi

overbearing home owners associations that enforce ridiculous maintenance standards, for example, fining you for not maintaining a golf-course-green lawn during drought-stage water restrictions. Also nosy neighbors who report others to the homeowners association. See also yard nazi.

The lawn nazis sent us a violation for planting bermuda grass instead of st. augustine as specified in the homeowners' covnenants.
