In the context of 4chan's /lgbt/ board, inconsequential or false information related to gender transition that tends to become a fixation among board users to the point where many end up unironically believing it. Examples include Ray Blanchard's transsexual typology (AGP vs. HSTS) and differences in bone structure between sexes that is typically not noticeable.

I was about to make a comment about my skull circumference to Alice in the hopes that she would sympathize but remembered that normal trans people don't have brainworms.

An image, sound, or other thought (usually one that you don't want to think about) that gets stuck in your mind. The best way to get rid of a brainworm is to replace it with something else (just don't think about your current stuck thought, though).

A brainworm is different from an earworm in that an earworm is a song that gets stuck in your head, while a brainworm is anything that gets stuck in your head.

I have a brainworm. I can't stop thinking about the disturbing meme I saw last night.

The act of repeatedly whispering a word or series of words into a the ears of a small child preferably between the ages of 1 and 1 and a half. One can tell it is working when the child has a blank stare on his face - his eyes are peering off into the distance not really focused on any particular thing and his mouth is open slightly as if he is about to drool. Particularly useful if one seeks to one-day rule the world.

Can be performed on both males and females, though females tend to be more susceptible to the brainwashing.

Hey Manny why does Isabella have that blank stare on her face, and why is her mouth open slightly as if she's about to drool? Oh wait... dude Rafael is brainwashing your baby!

I will implement the technique of baby brainwashing to one day rule the world!
