Unproductive, unreasonable, and/or outright harmful ideas that become “stuck” in one’s head and/or internalized. A “brainwormed individual” is someone who has been driven insane by the outlandish and malicious content commonly found in spaces like 4tran and 4chan at large.

In the context of 4chan's /lgbt/ board, inconsequential or false information related to gender transition that tends to become a fixation among board users to the point where many end up unironically believing it. Examples include Ray Blanchard's transsexual typology (AGP vs. HSTS) and differences in bone structure between sexes that is typically not noticeable.

A phrase to describe someone who is cognitively degenerating. Synonym of "going off the deep end". Can have varying degrees of severity.

Reference to the song "Hey You" by Pink Floyd. The line "and the worms ate into his brain" makes no sense in an otherwise linear and literal narration throughout the lyrics.
