Someone, whose status is always shown to be available on G-chat, or any other IM service, regardless as to whether they are available or not. Leaving their friends to ponder whether or not they're being snubbed.

Amber is such a chat tease. She's on day and night, but you never know if she's really there, or she just hates you that day.

Chat Crush

A crush obtained on one of your chat buddies on gchat. This is most likely a person you have not had much contact with in real life but get to know online only. Online conversations with a chat crush can lead to cross chat crushing on email, facebook , or twitter as well.

Girl1: Oh my gah, have you talked to that Jerry guy lately?
Girl2: Umm, No way! I met this guy on Gchat and he is totally my new chat crush.

chat rage

Chat rage is a rare but dangerous display of anger exhibited by a chat room dope who has been pushed to the end of his chat rope. It usually manifests itself by way of an escalating show of perturbment. For example the subject may begin to exhibit uncontrolled typos, usually followed my capitalization of his/her rant. The chat rage reaches its pinnacle when the loser and or loner begins verbally abusing their chat nemesis with strings of profanity and spit flying from their mouth and splashing across the monitor or flat screen display. The furniture of unsuspecting parents or rooming house owners frequently comes under attack by a person in full on chat rage.

SitOnMyShamok9: Dude, did you see the way fussy toyed with that loser in the room?

Fatoomsch: Yeah man, he must be flipping out with chat rage over that one.

Chat Chess

When talking to someone on chat (fb, skype, msn etc.) and they take forever to respond, and the pace of the chat resembles a game of chess.

You: Hey, how r u?

(Time passes)

Them: Good, yaself?

You: nb, how was work?

(A long time passes)

Them: Um, it was ok.

You: Ahuh...what you doing now?

(Again, time passes. They start typing. They delete it. They start again.)

You: WTF IS THIS, CHAT CHESS?!!!
