Taking Action

Taking action is often referred to as doing something very awesome or legit. People who take action are often verbally rewarded among their friends. Situations in which people try to take action but fail end up becoming problematic. Some may link it to sexual activities, although this phrase is only occasionally used when talking of such things.

1. Luke: Dude did you see that 360noscope I just did?
Alex: hell yea I did that takes action.
2. Kendell: Josh I'm taking action.
Josh: dude what did you do?
Kendell: I just convinced my mom to buy me a ps4 if I shoveled the snow out of the driveway.
Josh: holy sh*t talk about taking action!
3. Collin: Man, did you see the Super Bowl?
Max: yea who didn't?
Collin: the seahawks were so close to taking action.
Max: I know right, that would have taken so much action if they would have won.

Air Talking

Continuing to speak to someone who is no longer logged on to whatever online vehicle you were both engaged in.

Example: On MMORPG when you are in a guild or have buddy chat enabled and someone logs on you get a window warning indicating that that person now exists in your cyber reality it gives no warning whatsoever when the person DC's or disconnects and you often continue talking to them...like and idiot...hence the "Air Talking"

It’s basically just a mind fuck and really a waste of time, cause most of the time it doesn’t work but when it’s does I guess it could be great, but I mean I wouldn’t know sigh*

An example of a statement where a person insults an other person to rub in his/hers victory.

Steve: Ha! Boom you can't play cause I beat you 17-5.
James: Stop trash-talking

A socially renowned response or comeback to a hypocrytical statement.

Emotional and sensitive person: 'You're really bad at taking jokes.'

Person: 'Look who's talking...'

*Crowd jeers at emotional and sensitive person after he gets shut down*

taking the option

When you have an obligation to be somewhere, but decide you would rather not and go do something else instead, like go hang out with friends or go home and sleep. This alternate action is almost certainly frowned upon by the coach/authority figure and by those who are truly committed to the activity.

"Going to football today?"
"No man. I'm taking the option and going to dairy Queen instead. Wanna come?"

"No one is here today? What the hell?"
"Everyone took the option instead."
"Well that's lame."
