"Tim" is the name of the random fifth person in a Competitive on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, if you are matched with a party of four.
The name "Tim" or the term "Tim'd" derives from a Counter-Strike: Source player by the name of "Tim Smith".
Tim would often solo queue because of his lack of friends, which would lead him to get mad because his team would either win with a very high amount of round wins,
or lose with a very low amount. The phrase "Tim'd" would be used by Tim after feeling emotionally impacted by these matches, he would frequently say:
"They are getting Tim'd" when winning, or "We are getting Tim'd" when losing. People began using the name "Tim" after these experiences with players such as Tim.

Hey our 5th friend isn't on so we might as well queue with a Tim.
