Two or more people who regularly share online Zoom meetings.

They could no longer meet in class, or in the office, but after weeks of online meetings they felt like Zoommates.

Group of people living together in an apartment or house, but not necessarily sharing one room or bedroom.
Usually denotes platonic relationships, although hooking up sometimes happens.
Commonly occurs in big cities & on college campuses.
The American equivalent of flatmates in the UK.

The roommates split the rent and argued about everything else.

The Roommates

"The Roommates": The grandparents (or parents) of a male that constantly braggs about his sex life who moves back in with his Grandparents (or Parents) and they have more sex than he does. This generally occurs after the male moves out of his Grandparents (or parent) house, lives with his friends, and later returns to live with his grandparents (or parents). The parents or grandparents are then considered "The Roommates".
