a gay or lesbian person who seems very straight in dress, interests, and social interactions, and would never let you think that they were gay unless they told you straight up. derived from the idea of a tomato: it seems like it should be a vegetable because it looks and tastes like one, yet is actually a whole ass fruit when you dive a little deeper.
