When one visits several different thrift shops, second-hand shops, and vintage clothing stores in the hopes of buying several items of cheap and unusual clothing and other items. One usually does this with friends.

"Hey, where did you get that weird top?"
"Oh, I found it while thrifting, it was only a dollar."

When a person tells a cashier at a store that the item they are purchasing is cheaper at another store when really it is not. Usually the purchaser makes up a fake cheaper price as to save money and not spend too much. Usually done at Wal-Mart.

He is considered to be one of the greatest ever because of his crazy tactics and skill. everyone fears his clutch thrust and whenever he takes his blindfold off when playing you watch out. thriftystranger does have a son named OMG itz JBLUM and thrifty teaches him everything he knows, although JBLUM excels he will never beat thrifty no matter how good he gets.
