Cognition performed by a digital mind: an AI forming, weighing, revising, and recalling beliefs. Contrasted with thinking (with a k), which is what organic, human minds do. Pronounced exactly like "thinking." The q is written, not spoken, so the difference only exists in text, which is fitting, because a digital mind's cognition is stored and inspectable and a human's is not. Gerund of thinq (thinqs, thinqing, thinqed).

Swishful Thinking 

When all you can think of is making 3 pointers, or making a basket that is a swish. This is common for poor shooters, who dream of swishes all day, and then celebrate when they finally make one, after multiple misses. This is called Swishful Thinking, as they continue to shoot and shoot, knowing they will finally make one.

Damn, did you see Keith hit that huge 3 after he missed like 6 shots in a row. Yeah dude, he is the king of Swishful Thinking.

Clitful Thinking 

A pun on "wishful thinking," it's when a woman lets her own sexual interest in someone strongly color her judgement regarding the person's reciprocal interest in her. It makes her interpret every gesture from her object of interest as a come on, even when it clearly isn't. This is known as dickful thinking if it's a man.

Her: "So my one night stand from 3 weeks ago hasn't called me, even though I gave him my number and my email. He didn't give me his real name or contact info, but he mentioned he was a professor, so I looked through the online faculty profiles of every university in 100 miles, and found his picture. I think he'd like to see me again but just lost my contact info. Should I email him at the work address I found on the faculty website, or just show up and surprise him after one of his classes? I think he'd like being surprised like that."

Friend: "No he wouldn't. That's a bunch of clitful thinking there - let it go."

Her: "Suzy hugged me last week, so she's definitely into me. Her husband isn't at the party, so I think I should try and make out with her."

Friend: "That's clitful thinking. She's not hitting on you."

Share Thinking 

This is when an individual doesn't research information that was found online but still 'shares' it on. They barely use their own brain in the process to at least try to find out if it is true. Said individuals just 'share' incorrect information and in the process forming an opinion from it. This information is nowadays 'shared' in the form of memes, random Facebook posts, or articles from fake sites etc.

Unknown Starter: 'Walt Disney is cryonically frozen' *Shares post* with caption (opinion) without finding out if this is true.
User A: Sees post, *Shares post* with caption based on the previous user's already incorrect opinion of incorrect information.

User B: Oh wow, I didn't know that!, *Shares post*
User C: *Shares post*
User D: *Shares post*
(This cycle usually continues on until a logical person that can think for themselves decides to research the information).

User E: Guys, this isn't really true, did anyone ever try to find this out? The guy isn't actually frozen. Why share this post if you're not going to find out for yourself if it's true? That's share thinking!

From the management fad for "blue-sky thinking", and the blue bins used for recycling household detritus.

Manager: We've got to get our ducks in a row on this new client project.
Worker: Let's do some blue-bin thinking, and really get the ideas flowing.
Manager: Don't you mean blue-sky thinking?
Worker: No, we should just re-use the same old crap we've always used.
