also known as the friend zone, which is when you want to be more than a friend to someone, but they only think of you as a friend

it may go a little something like this: you're in love with your best friend, but he/she tells you what a great friend you are and how they would never want to ruin your guys' friendship, this also might come with the "friend" talking to you about other prospects of theirs...hence you're in the fz
