Talka Day 

A "Talka Day" is when you have a lot to do or you are supposed to be at work or school but you stay home in bed all day. You watch movies and have food delivered. The best part is that there is zero guilt associated with taking a much needed "Talka Day".

I cancelled all my meetings. Decided to take a "Talka Day".

Shaka til we talka

Originating from the Hawaiian hand gesture and meaning “hang loose,” it is used as "goodbye, talk to you soon" in the San Diego suburb of Cardiff by the Sea, typically by Plumerians. Sometimes it’s used as a thank you, but that’s a stretch.

1. make a fist.
2. extend both your pinky and your thumb.

3. lightly rock your pinky and thumb back and forth.
4. say, “shaka til we talka” in a Matthew Maconahay inspired (read: stoned) voice.
5. leave.

Rikka has 8th grade syndrome and wears a patch on her right eye and a bandage thing wrapped around her left arm. She believes she has the tyrant's eye. She's in high school and has an older sister named Tooka who's a chef. She also has a friend named Sanae who also has 8th grade syndrome and Nibutani (a.k.a, Forest Summer / Morisummer) who used to have it and also Yuuta, the boy who lives below her and used to have 8th grade syndrome.
