spark noting 

the act of reading spark notes on a book for class instead of actually reading the book. usually done the night before a test or when the book should have been read by.

Guy: What are you up to?
Girl: Just spark noting that stupid book for english.
Guy: The boring one about Africa?
Girl: Yeah the test is tomorrow.

Shark-Nosing 

The act of getting away completely unharmed from a situation that in any other instance would have resulted in certain death.

Inspired by the photographs of David 'Baz' Jenkins who, whilst on a shark tour boat off the coast of South Africa, photographed the miraculous escape of a seal from almost certain death in the jaws of a Great White shark. At one point the seal is seen balancing on the nose of its attacker as the shark propels itself out of the water in pursuit of its prey.

"She escaped the inferno with only minor cuts and bruises, shark-nosing her way out of the car window before it started to roll."

sparknoting

Using SparkNotes and other related sites to study/cheat for tests.

Instead of reading Jane Eyre, I figured I'd just try sparknoting the whole thing and see how well I do on the test.
