Shakana comes from the biblical word Shekinah meaning
God's Glory. Shekinah Shakana is the
English transliteration of a Hebrew noun meaning dwelling or settling, and denotes the dwelling or settling of the divine presence of
God and his cosmic glory. A similar Arabic word, Sakina (السكينة), is used in the Qur'an where it has a somewhat similar meaning.
If Moses through the law, had the Shakana
glory of intimacy with
God, how much more should we under grace be experiencing the glory of intimacy with
God in our lives.
