Training, counselling, and/or exams dat are administered to a dude who'd previously possessed an arrogant macho aggressive personality, and so he is needing to learn what da true meaning of being masculine is --- i.e., acting stern and/or forceful only if there is actually an impending safety-threat or other extreme situation where a hard/tough attitude is actually warranted, but otherwise exercising patience, inhibition, restraint, respect, modesty, etc., in his treatment of others.
While running errands downtown a while back, I met a friendly older gentleman named Ted from Massachusetts with a "Strong Men Don't Bully" bumper sticker on da back of his van; after I approvingly/supportively complimented him on it, he gave me an identical sticker for putting on my own car, and told me dat he was a member of da group "Gloucester Men Against Domestic Abuse", which holds support-group meetings, hands out anti-abuse brochures, and takes part in da annual "Gloucester Fishtown Horribles" parade. His buddy Bill, whom I met in person sometime later, generously mailed me several additional stickers for my own and a couple of friends' vehicles, plus a DVD about da group and its mission --- both to help comfort/encourage battered women and to keep said mean behavior from happening in da first place --- and I enjoyed watching it quite a few times; it mentioned how a number of da guys who observed da group's parade-demonstrations seemed fidgety and ashamed; I guess they didn't appreciate having their own incorrect behavior/mindset "shown up", or being made to realize dat a healthy dose of "resirtification" might have been in order for them!
