A slang word meaning 'anus', poohouse is a somewhat less graphic version of the word 'shithouse'. Used chiefly in Wigan - and was probably invented there

Poolhouse 

A magical spot to drink beer with the homies, smoke copious amounts weed, and of course pack fat lippers. Also known as the sanctuary. Its next to a pool. No zombies allowed.

Guy 1: What do you want to do tonight?

Guy 2: Dude, are you kidding? Let's get crossfaded at the poolhouse until we can't see straight and then play N64 smash bros.

the act of taking a shit while a hot shower is running with the door closed; and having your intimate one walk in in disgust do to the foul smell.

"Hey Mike, where'd Melissa go?"

"Oh, she left after I gave her a steamy poophouse by accident."

"Oh, thats a bummer, I guess we won't be seeing much of her anymore."

"Yea, she was pretty horrified by my disgusting shit smell mixed in with the sweaty steam."

Was actually an early form of the homeless shelter, but is now mostly just used while joking.

"I just went on a vacation and spent three times what I thought I was going to spend. I'll be sent to the poorhouse!"

pothouse 

crackpot + madhouse.

'Pothouse' was a word coined, I think, by Ginger Barwick - Bravado merchandiser and wide-boy to the stars. I can only assume it comes from a mixture of 'crackpot' and 'madhouse' and is used to describe those of a slightly unstable nature.

There you go folks. First-class, grade A example of a pothouse. Bad spelling and all.........;-)
