A state of limbo; not yet at the next stage. Refers both to vegetables in the process of ripening and to Tarzan's preferred method of travel.
For our third date, we're having a candlelit dinner at her place - I don't think I'll be on the vine much longer.

Adjective. Used to describe persons who have adjusted or altered their lifestyle for environmental reasons. Crunchy persons tend to be politically strongly left-leaning and may be additionally but not exclusively categorized as vegetarians, vegans, eco-tarians, conservationists, environmentalists, neo-hippies, tree huggers, nature enthusiasts, etc.
