A state of mind in which confusion results from a preoccupation of said mind, such as resulting from an infatuation with a current or potential-future significant other.

This week has been a blur. Ever since I met that girl, I've been completely mindspun.

mindstun 

An involuntary, often momentary, cessation of higher mental and/or cognizant functionality typically preceded by hearing a stops-you-dead-in-your-tracks comment (often political) or a knocks-your-socks-off experience (e.g., orgasm). Similar to mind numbing but more extreme with faster onset (i.e., it has nothing to do with the physiological response to lectures on thermodynamics).

Just to screw with my wife’s left-leaning friends and politically-affiliated solicitors, I now answer the home phone with the greeting “Palin-Bachmann 2012 campaign headquarters,” a real mindstun.

flowing mindspin 

This word is usually misconceived as a term of overwhelming joy, anguish, or just something astounding.

1) A short person who obsessively listens to 311.
2) A person who constantly plays any and all sorts of air instrument.
3) A person who enjoys being repeatedly butt-sexed by spiked strap-ons.

"Look at that flowing mindspin over there...he's enjoying this concert WAAY too much!"

or

"My boyfriend is a totally a flowing mindspin. I feel like I need it attached permanently to my body!"
