Or negative- when his presence causes her to shrink, lose her identity or measure her worth through his eyes. Every woman has experienced both kinds.

Malfluence 

Malfluence: the power to exert negative influence that exacerbates a person's worst qualities or culturally repressed behaviors.

Although it was not my style to use profanity at the office, under the malfluence of my supervisor, I began to use the disgusting navy expressions I learned from my father, and before long everybody started swearing freely (when clients were not present).
