Jonesin'

The original use of Jonesing mean dying
To jones for means to die for
This phrase came out in 1978 after the Jonestown Massacre. I was 12 years old.

Kool-Aid laced with cyanide was given to children and adult members killing more than 900 people.

This is also why people say "don't drink the Kool aid" or "he drank the Kool aid" meaning fatal move.
