Hold-up

Office lingo.
Someone stops by your office cube and leans on the wall to chat with you over the wall. The wall is held up, and you are held up as they steal your time.

I'm sorry I'm late for lunch, my frikin lonely heart coworker thought it was a good time for a hold-up.

The was a hold-up in the bank, but the cops knew about it.

1. Wait a minute. Used when a new idea has popped into one's head or when one thinks something is a bad idea.
2. A robbery, eg. a bank hold up.

2. Another version of a sentence is "Wait a minute."
