The act of drugging a loved one to death, "Legally". The physcian will prescribe home hospice for your loved one after hearing they are in pain, and about to die. The private matter is also a great chance to kill your loved one. The drug induced death is usually the first night of the Morphine order from the doctor.
What the hospice'em Maryann syndrome is:

What I meant: I'll let you live until I'm done with you.

The story: He struggled with so much pain, then he died so suddenly.
The real story: He struggled with me while I was killing him, now that pain has died.

The period of time ending with a person's death and beginning at the time in which they would have been put to sleep if they had been a pet.
Grandpa's in hospice care now, but he's totally out of it. I'd put him to sleep if he were a cat.
